The tipper will be used to transport several metals (copper, iron, aluminum, stainless steel) over short distances on site. Gerrits Recycling has eight shredders at their location in Helmond, The Netherlands. The metals that come out of the shredders are separated and then loaded onto the tipper. This heavy duty mining truck was purchased to replace two standard tippers that they had in use up to now.

Project description

Gerrits Recycling is specialized in the separation of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and the recovery of residual materials. The non-ferrous mix released by shredders from, among other things, end-of-life vehicles and white goods, is completely separated in an environmentally friendly manner. These can in turn be reused in various new products. Gerrits Recycling has eight shredders at their location in Helmond, The Netherlands. The metals that come out of the shredders are separated and then loaded onto the tipper. The tipper drives over a weighing platform and then dumps the material onto several stock piles. This way they know exactly how many tonnes of each material they have in stock.

COMPLETE RESTYLING BY BAS

The Volvo FMX 10×4 tipper has 540hp and a Euro 6 emission standard. The vehicle has been operational as a BAS Mining demo truck over the last five years on several mining sites throughout Europe. BAS Mining Trucks has completely restyled the tipper in the corporate identity of Gerrits Recycling. We wish Gerrits Recycling many pleasant working hours with their new truck.
